Pushing the Button

Stand for something or you will fall for anything. And that is what I do. If you have no expectations, goals, dreams, standards or values you will fall for nearly anything. Many will say that "patience is a virtue", but I believe that will power and sustainability is a real talent. I truly admire those that stick with their promises, and their words. What is the purpose of a promise, if you know you are going to break it? Setting yourself up for disappointment or failure, not only to yourself but to those you surround yourself with. I am a true believer in actions speak louder than words and I try to live by this every single day. I could repeatedly tell myself "I can do it", and when the time comes and I can't, I surrender, I forfeit... I fail. Therefore, I Have learned to not make promises I know I can't keep. Many might agree that I have a bad reputation of bailing on people. Through the years I have learned to cope with a "Ill try to make it" or "Ill see what I can do" then a "I promise i'll be there", it has caused major conflict in many friendships of mine in the past.

Besides modesty, will power (self discipline/inner strength) is an attribute I simply adore and I admire. Whether it be to a diet, temptations, peer pressure, promise keeping, committing to a person, school, work or a hobby, it all requires will power.
